Our enamel technique uses allochromatic glass made from quartz sand, iron oxide, potassium oxide, and borax, which forms a transparent, colorless layer after being fired at temperatures between 700 and 900°C. The vibrant colors are created by adding metal oxides or chlorides, and once the materials are crushed and washed into a hydrated mass, the enamel is carefully applied to a clean metal surface.
